XRP Outpaces Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana

Xrp has performed its peers this week, with Bitcoin gaining 22%, Ether rising 30%, and Solana climbing 28% over the same period. XRP’s rally follows a stretch of weak performance during which it lagged the broader crypto market’s earlier recovery, driven largely by a massive unwinding of bearish futures positions, with nearly $2 billion in short liquidations recorded this week alone.

Treasury Buyback Sparks Yield Curve Control Speculation

The rally began after the US Treasury announced it would double its bond buyback size to at least $4 billion per operation for long-duration bonds between September 9 and November 4. While framed as a liquidity-management measure, the timing coincided with long-term bond yields hitting their highest levels since 2007, fueling speculation that the move could be an early step toward yield curve control, a more aggressive policy where central banks cap bond yields by purchasing unlimited quantities as needed.
