Zerohash, a crypto infrastructure company serving major clients like Morgan Stanley’s E*Trade, BlackRock, and Stripe, has resubmitted its application for a national trust bank charter after its first attempt was returned by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency last month. The company said this new filing represents a more focused approach aligned with its planned business rollout.
Public Comment Period Now Open
The revised application is currently under review by the OCC, with a public comment period open until September 17. Zerohash noted that its earlier application setback was handled in coordination with regulators and did not reflect a rejection based on the merits of the original submission.

Company Continues Expanding Institutional Partnerships
Already operating as a state-chartered trust bank, Zerohash provides crypto infrastructure services to firms including Franklin Templeton, Stripe, Interactive Brokers, and DraftKings. The company is also currently facing a wrongful termination lawsuit in California, where its former chief compliance officer alleges he was dismissed after flagging internal compliance concerns.
