Europe’s biggest asset manager has launched a blockchain version of one of its flagship equity products. A new tokenized share class of the Amundi STOXX Europe 600 fund now lives on Ethereum, built with asset servicing firm CACEIS, while the regular fund stays open through traditional channels.

What the Tokenized STOXX Europe 600 Fund Offers

The fund follows an index of 600 large, mid and small companies from developed European markets. Amundi says it wants to build a wider range of tokenized funds for institutions and digital platforms, pointing to easier access, faster settlement and smoother operations. The move builds on a tokenized euro money market share class, also created with CACEIS on Ethereum, that arrived in November 2025.

Growth in Tokenized Stocks

Data from RWA.xyz shows tokenized stocks reached $4.24 billion on Nov. 4, up almost 27% in 30 days. Even so, the ten biggest products are all tied to US companies or US listed securities, among them Securitize, SpaceX, Circle and Alphabet.

Pressure on EU Regulators

European firms say rules need to move faster. In April, 39 companies and industry groups warned that the EU could fall behind the US in tokenized finance. They asked for a wider list of eligible assets, higher volume limits and an end to time limits on licenses under the Distributed Ledger Technology Pilot Regime.
