Bahrain And Kuwait Launch Direct Airstrikes On Iran For First Time

Bahrain and Kuwait secretly sent fighter jets to strike targets inside Iran earlier this month, marking the first direct retaliatory action by either country against Tehran since the war began. The strikes highlight the increasingly difficult position Gulf Arab states face as the conflict continues to spread across the region.

Strikes Targeted Military Storage Sites

According to people familiar with the matter, the airstrikes hit drone and missile storage depots along with other military installations inside Iran. The operation took place in early July and reflects growing pressure on Arab nations to respond as the war drags on.

UAE Provided Intelligence And Air Support

The United Arab Emirates, which had already struck Iran multiple times earlier in the conflict, supplied intelligence on targets and offered defensive air cover during the Bahraini and Kuwaiti strikes. Officials say this points to expanding military cooperation among Gulf Arab states in confronting Tehran. Spokespeople for the Bahraini and Kuwaiti governments have not responded to requests for comment on the report.
