Base, the blockchain backed by Coinbase, hit another block production issue Friday, its second in two days, according to the network’s status page.
The team flagged the problem at 15:33 UTC and resumed block production by 16:11 UTC. Node operators were told to restart their Base Mainnet nodes to resync.

Thursday’s Halt Was Similar
Friday’s outage echoed a chain halt from Thursday, when an invalid block choked the sequencer after block 47806542. No user funds were at risk, but withdrawals were interrupted for about two hours before block production resumed and operators restarted their nodes.
Timing Lines Up With Beryl Hardfork
Thursday’s stall hit right around the planned Beryl hardfork at 18:00 UTC, which rolled out the B20 token standard and other finality upgrades. Beryl was successfully implemented later that day at 20:00 UTC, though the network has now faced two stalls in close succession around the update.
