Selling Intensified Through the Week
Outflows began modestly with $46.6 million on September 8, followed by $120.2 million the next day. Selling accelerated sharply on September 10, with investors pulling $282.6 million in the largest single-day outflow of the week, as hotter-than-expected inflation data raised concerns over a potential Fed rate hike. Outflows continued into Friday with another $13.2 million withdrawn.
ARKB and GBTC See Heaviest Selling
ARKB led outflows with about $250.3 million withdrawn, followed by GBTC at $129.1 million, IBIT at $52.5 million and FBTC at $50.7 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT was among the few funds to see inflows, adding $19.7 million for the week.
