Key Support Level Now In Focus

Traders and analysts are watching $82,000 as a critical level that needs to hold if bitcoin is to avoid slipping back into its earlier trading range between $60,000 and $80,000.

The current price zone carries added significance since US spot Bitcoin ETFs hold an aggregate cost basis just below $86,000, meaning further declines could push those funds toward unrealized losses.

Spot Demand Struggles Despite Recent Rally

Even after climbing more than 35 percent since mid-August, bitcoin continues struggling to attract genuine spot market buying. Recent analysis indicates market interest remains concentrated primarily in derivatives and futures trading rather than direct purchases.

Data shows cumulative 30-day spot demand measured negative 180,000 BTC as of Tuesday, meaning available supply has outpaced actual buying over that period, though the negative reading has narrowed slightly and total demand shows modest signs of recovery. Analysts suggest a shift into positive spot demand territory could mark the start of a more substantial rally.
