XRP Hit Hardest
XRP was the weakest performer among majors, down more than 3% on the day to $1.01 and 5.5% over the week. Solana slipped over 1% to nearly $73, Dogecoin eased under 7 cents, and ether stayed flat around $1,897. BNB held at $591, up 1% weekly, while Hyperliquid’s HYPE led majors over seven days at 1.3% despite dipping slightly on the day.

Bill’s Path Remains Uncertain
The legislation needs 60 votes to pass, and it’s unclear whether it currently has even 50. Some Republicans have voiced opposition, while Democrats want stronger provisions preventing President Trump from profiting off crypto while in office. Trump disclosed over $1 billion in crypto-related income in 2025. Senate Majority Leader John Thune said a vote will come in September, when lawmakers return September 14 facing a packed schedule.
