Launch Follows Major Ethereum Foundation Restructuring

The announcement comes after the Ethereum Foundation cut 20% of its staff and narrowed its focus. Former EF contributors recently formed EthLabs to handle protocol research, making Ethereum Institutional a complementary organization focused on commercial and institutional outreach rather than technical development.

Standard Chartered’s Geoffrey Kendrick said both organizations would improve communication between Ethereum and institutional partners.
