Reform UK, led by Nigel Farage, has received significant financial support from prominent figures in the cryptocurrency industry, helping the party become the top fundraiser among British political parties during the first quarter of 2026.
New electoral records show that Reform UK received approximately 7 million British pounds, or about $9.4 million, from two well-known crypto investors. Christopher Harborne, an investor linked to stablecoin issuer Tether, donated around $4 million, while BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo contributed roughly $5.4 million.

The combined donations exceeded the quarterly fundraising totals of both the Labour Party and the Conservative Party, which each raised about $5.4 million during the same period.
Nigel Farage Strengthens Pro-Crypto Position
Farage has increasingly positioned Reform UK as a supporter of the cryptocurrency sector. The party became the first major UK political organization to accept donations in Bitcoin and has promoted policies aimed at encouraging digital asset adoption.
Among his proposals are reducing capital gains tax on crypto investments from 24% to 10% and encouraging the Bank of England to consider establishing a Bitcoin reserve.
Crypto Industry Expands Political Influence
The latest donations highlight the growing role of cryptocurrency wealth in political fundraising. Industry leaders have become more active in supporting candidates and parties that advocate clearer regulations and policies favorable to digital assets.
Reform UK Fundraising Surges
Ben Delo’s contribution marks his first reported donation to Reform UK, while Harborne has become one of the party’s largest supporters. His donations over the past year have reportedly reached around $20 million.
Reform UK’s fundraising during the first quarter increased sixfold compared with the same period last year, reflecting both growing political support and rising involvement from major cryptocurrency investors in shaping future policy discussions.
