The total crypto market briefly pushed back above $3 trillion on Tuesday as Bitcoin and major altcoins climbed together, while rising leverage across derivatives markets pointed to growing speculative interest.

Bitcoin And Major Altcoins Post Strong Gains
Bitcoin traded near $86,000, up roughly 4.5% over the past day. Ether rose about 2.3% to $2,745, XRP jumped 5.7% to $1.53, and Solana climbed 3.6% to $117. BNB added 1.6%, while Dogecoin stood out with an 11% gain. The combined crypto market cap sat just under $3 trillion, up around 4.3% on the day.

Leverage And Liquidations Climb
Open interest in crypto perpetual futures reached almost $160 billion, its highest point since late October last year. More than $920 million in short positions were wiped out on Monday as prices spiked, raising the risk that heavy leverage could accelerate price swings in either direction going forward.
ETF Demand And A Standout Small-Cap Mover
US spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in close to $1 billion on Monday, their biggest single day haul since October last year. Meanwhile, AI gaming token Akedo (AKE) surged roughly 170% over the week to a $1.2 billion market cap, hitting an all-time high before dropping more than 60% from that peak, with heavy daily trading volume.
