Selling pressure following recent US airstrikes on Iran hit cryptocurrency markets unevenly, with Solana and Tron each losing more than 3% over a 24-hour span while Bitcoin declined by a smaller margin.
The pattern suggests traders exited faster moving, higher risk positions first while leaving BTC comparatively untouched. Ether, XRP, Dogecoin and other major tokens also posted modest losses during the same period, though most names recovered slightly as Asian equity markets suffered steeper declines.

Oil and Bond Markets Drive the Move
Rather than crypto specific factors, the sell-off was largely triggered by surging oil prices and rising bond yields. Renewed concerns over shipping disruptions through a critical Middle East waterway pushed crude prices sharply higher, while long term US Treasury yields climbed to their highest level in roughly three years. Japanese and South Korean equity markets also fell sharply amid the broader risk off sentiment.
Fed Rate Expectations Add Pressure
Rising expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike next month have added further pressure on riskier assets, with market-implied odds increasing significantly over the past week. Analysts note that upcoming economic data releases, including the jobs report and inflation figures, will likely shape market direction heading into key policy decisions later this month.
