Bitcoin steadied above $63,000 on Monday, recovering losses from late June and touching its highest level in more than a month. Ether outperformed the broader market, climbing over 12 percent on the week, while other major tokens including BNB, dogecoin, Solana and XRP also posted solid gains

Crypto Holds Firm Despite Cautious Market Mood
The gains came even as broader market sentiment turned uncertain. A rebound in semiconductor and technology shares lost momentum, reviving doubts about the strength of this year’s AI-driven stock rally. South Korean chip stocks declined, and Asian semiconductor shares broadly slipped alongside them.
The US dollar strengthened against major currencies, typically a headwind for crypto given the close relationship between the two over recent months. Oil prices also eased slightly, taking some pressure off inflation ahead of upcoming US economic data.

Rotation Trend May Be Shifting
For much of the past quarter, investors have moved money out of crypto and into chip and AI-related stocks, with weakness in that trade often dragging crypto down as well. This time, crypto held steady even as the AI trade wobbled, a pattern being closely watched by traders. Whether bitcoin’s hold above $63,000 marks a lasting recovery may depend on upcoming inflation data and how markets behave as full trading volume returns this week.
