Gemini Partners With Apex to Expand Crypto Prediction Markets

Gemini is teaming up with a major brokerage technology firm to bring its regulated crypto prediction markets to a wider pool of traders.

Gemini and Apex Sign Letter of Intent

Gemini, the crypto exchange founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, has signed a letter of intent with Apex Fintech Solutions to distribute crypto prediction-market contracts to brokerage clients. Under the deal, Gemini’s subsidiary, Gemini Titan, would become the exclusive regulated venue for crypto event contracts offered through Apex’s futures commission merchant. Gemini would handle execution and clearing, letting brokerages that use Apex offer these contracts without building their own connection to an exchange.

Prediction Markets Are Growing Fast

Monthly trading volume on leading prediction-market platforms reached nearly $24 billion by April, up from under $5 billion in September 2025, according to Pew Research Center. Sports, politics and crypto have become the largest categories as these markets move into mainstream trading, prompting crypto firms to diversify revenue beyond spot trading.

Gemini’s Regulatory Push

Gemini Titan received a Designated Contract Market license from the CFTC in December 2025, and another subsidiary, Gemini Olympus, secured a clearing license in April. “We believe that predictions are the future of markets,” Gemini CEO Tyler Winklevoss said. The Apex partnership builds on an earlier deal where Apex serves as custodian for Gemini’s commission-free stock trading, launched in July.
