Scale of the Damage

Speaking at a televised news conference Tuesday, Mohajerani confirmed the loss, which officials say is significant when measured against Iran’s total daily production of roughly 650 million cubic meters. Executive Vice President Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah said the setback has worsened existing energy imbalances in the country, though he added that around 100 million cubic meters of the lost capacity is expected to return to the production network within the coming months through recovery efforts.

Fuel Prices to Remain Stable

Mohajerani said daily gasoline production remains steady at 100 million liters and confirmed that subsidized quota fuel prices will not change. Any decision regarding non-quota gasoline pricing, she said, would be announced separately.

Widespread Infrastructure Damage

The spokesperson detailed extensive damage across southern Iran, including harm to fishing boats, tourism businesses, and civilian transport routes. Twelve bridges and two tunnels were damaged, prompting emergency bypass construction ahead of the seasonal rains. Strikes also affected airports in Iranshahr, Semnan, and Bandar Abbas, along with the marine control tower in Chabahar.
