Oman Calls Negotiations Constructive, Condemns Ship Attacks

Oman called the negotiations positive and constructive while condemning ongoing attacks on ships in the strait. The UAE said Iran struck a tanker linked to its state oil company with a missile, though no injuries were reported.

A US official said Washington would lift its blockade on Iranian ports once a deal is formally announced, tied to Iran meeting its commitments. Meanwhile, rising prices for basic goods inside Iran have accelerated since the war began.

Earlier reports suggested a deal would give Iran significant control over Gulf shipping access, something US officials have previously rejected.
