Iran launched missiles and drones at US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain early Sunday, hours after President Trump warned the US might “militarily complete the job.” Trump posted that if Washington runs out of patience, “the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist.” Kuwait’s air defenses responded to the attack, and sirens sounded across Bahrain.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said their navy and air forces hit US sites in response to recent American strikes on Iran. A US official confirmed the attacks but said no casualties or major damage had been reported so far. The Guards warned American bases would “experience hell in the coming days” and said the strikes would halt all diplomatic talks.

Strait Of Hormuz Remains The Flashpoint

The latest escalation followed a Panama flagged tanker being hit by an Iranian drone Saturday, just days after a similar attack on a cargo ship Thursday. US Central Command said it struck Iranian military surveillance, communications and drone storage sites in response, saying Iran had been “given a chance to honor the ceasefire” but chose not to.

Iran wants ships routed through its own waters in the strait and aims to charge fees for passage, while Washington is pushing a southern route along Oman’s coast. The dispute comes as oil prices have fallen close to pre war levels following weeks of tankers leaving the Gulf.

Lebanon Ceasefire Also Under Strain

Iran accuses the US of failing to maintain the Lebanon ceasefire tied to their peace deal. Israel has refused to withdraw from Lebanese territory it occupies, and Hezbollah continues rejecting disarmament demands, fueling anger among Lebanon’s Shi’ite population still displaced from their homes.
