Israel Confirms US Bombers Launched Iran Strikes from Israeli Airbases

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has confirmed that American warplanes used Israeli airbases to carry out strikes on Iran, while reaffirming that Israel remains prepared to retaliate if directly targeted.

Katz’s Comments

Speaking to Israel’s Channel 14, Katz noted that Iran has been striking targets across the region while notably avoiding Israel itself. He said Iranian officials are aware that American aircraft are taking off from Israeli territory to conduct the operations.

Warning on Retaliation

Katz stressed that while the current situation could shift quickly, Israel’s response posture remains firm. He said both he and the prime minister have made clear that any attack on Israel would be met with a full-force military response.

The disclosure adds a new dimension to the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran, highlighting Israel’s direct logistical involvement in the US military campaign despite not being a declared combatant in the current exchange of strikes.
