Israel Signals Its Interests in Iran Peace Talks With Limited Military Response

Israel Seeks Influence Over Future Iran Agreement

According to Israeli analysts, the strikes were intended to send a message that any future agreement between Washington and Tehran must consider Israel’s security concerns. Trump has been pursuing negotiations with Iran while largely excluding Israel from direct participation in the talks.

Israeli officials argue that arrangements affecting regional security cannot be finalized without addressing Israel’s interests, particularly regarding Iranian backed Hezbollah forces operating in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon Security Concerns Remain Central

Israeli leaders are reportedly concerned that a future US-Iran deal could restrict Israel’s ability to conduct military operations against Hezbollah. Senior defense officials said maintaining freedom of action in Lebanon remains a key objective.

Although Israel demonstrated its ability to strike Iranian targets, military experts note that any prolonged air campaign would still depend heavily on US political backing and logistical support, highlighting Israel’s continued reliance on Washington despite occasional policy disagreements.
