Kraken Rolls Out AI Investing Assistant in Major App Redesign

Kraken is rebuilding its mobile app around artificial intelligence, giving users a personal investing assistant that suggests trades based on their financial goals instead of forcing them to navigate complicated trading screens. The redesign lets customers set objectives like buying a home, saving for retirement, or building an emergency fund, and the app adjusts its tools and recommendations accordingly.

The company calls this feature its “financial intelligence” system. It tracks markets around the clock, spots potential opportunities, and suggests trades, but it won’t execute anything without the user clicking approve first. Kraken is framing this as a support tool for decision making rather than a fully automated trading bot.

How the System Builds a Portfolio

Based on a user’s risk tolerance, funding preferences, and overall financial picture, the app puts together a suggested portfolio for review before any money moves. After that, it keeps sending personalized updates and suggestions tied to what the user actually owns. Kraken’s chief data officer, Kamo Asatryan, said the goal is giving ordinary investors the same market awareness that professional traders have, using plain English instead of technical jargon.

Part of a Wider Industry Trend

Other platforms are moving the same direction. OKX launched a marketplace for autonomous AI agents in June, Coinbase added AI-driven payment tools the same month, and Revolut recently let users connect outside AI assistants to its exchange for market analysis and order placement.
