Brandt believes Bitcoin could drop below $50,000, possibly falling into the high-$40,000 range, before finding its true low point. He points to history as his reasoning, noting that every major Bitcoin bear market has involved a correction of 80% or more. Based on Bitcoin’s peak in the $120,000s, that pattern would put the bottom somewhere in that lower range. Bitcoin was trading at $63,661 at the time of the report.

Bitcoin historical 4year market cycles

Many traders assume Bitcoin’s current price near $60,000 already marks the cycle low, but Brandt disagrees. He argues that market sentiment right now is neutral, not panicked, and true bottoms only form when fear and heavy selling take over. He expects the same people currently calling a bottom will eventually give up on Bitcoin entirely before the real low arrives.

Bitcoin Over AI Stocks, Brandt Says

Brandt also weighed in on the AI stock rally, saying he doubts investors putting all their money into AI stocks today will be satisfied with those returns two to three years from now. If he had $10,000 to invest right now, he says he would split it evenly between Bitcoin and precious metals, adding that metals appear closer to a price bottom while Bitcoin appears closer to a time-based bottom.
