Ripple Expands AI Tools Across Its Corporate Treasury Platform

Ripple is expanding artificial intelligence capabilities within its corporate treasury business, adding AI agents to Ripple Treasury, the platform formerly known as GTreasury that Ripple acquired for $1 billion last year. The new tools, called GSmart, can monitor liquidity, reconciliation, and financial forecasting while recommending actions based on company policy.

Importantly, the system does not execute any financial moves on its own. Every recommendation requires human approval before action is taken. Ripple said actual financial calculations rely on deterministic software, while AI is used specifically to interpret policies, identify patterns, and explain the reasoning behind suggestions.

Feature Adoption Grows Among Treasury Customers

The GSmart technology originally launched in mid-2025, predating Ripple’s acquisition of the platform. The latest update broadens its use across treasury operations and introduces a new policy management layer along with an assistant tool for querying financial data. According to Ripple, roughly 60% of eligible customers have activated its risk monitoring feature, while 44% use its forecasting tools.

This expansion builds on Ripple’s broader strategy following its GTreasury acquisition, which previously enabled corporate finance teams to manage digital assets like XRP alongside traditional cash within the same system.
