Samsung Wallet now lets eligible Galaxy owners in the United States hold and move USDC on the Solana network without leaving the app. The feature went live Thursday, a bit later than the end of October timeline given when it was first announced on Oct. 7.
Who Can Use the Samsung Stablecoin Account
The company says about 82 million Galaxy devices in the US can run it. Users must be 18 or older, have a Samsung Account and use a phone on Android 13 or newer. Residents of New York are left out. People can buy, keep, send and receive USDC, with no Samsung fee for transfers to another Samsung Wallet user or a compatible outside crypto wallet.
Sending Money Abroad
Eligible customers can also send funds to qualifying bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients may get local currency. Fees depend on the destination.
Who Handles Custody Behind the Scenes
Stablecoin custodian Bastion runs the accounts and transfer systems, while Coinbase acts as sub custodian and stores the USDC through Coinbase Prime Vault. Coinbase already worked with Samsung, since the two widened their partnership in October 2025 to let Galaxy users fund Coinbase accounts through Samsung Pay.
