Saylor Says BIP-110 Falls Short of 55% Threshold as OCEAN Moves to Enforce Signal
Michael Saylor has pointed out that BIP-110 has failed to reach the 55% voluntary support level needed within the current Bitcoin mining difficulty cycle. As of block 960,561, only 24 blocks carried the BIP-110 signaling flag, and all of them originated from OCEAN-affiliated mining nodes. No blocks outside the OCEAN network showed any sign of the signal being adopted.

Saylor Calls Threshold Unreachable Under Current Rules
Saylor argued that hitting the required 55% support is mathematically impossible given how the current signaling structure is set up, raising questions about whether the proposal can gain legitimate network-wide backing through normal voluntary adoption.
OCEAN Set to Enforce Signaling by Force
Rather than relying on organic support, OCEAN has already enabled BIP-110 signaling by default across its nodes. Starting at block 961,632, the pool’s software will begin rejecting blocks that do not carry the signal. This means any future appearance of full signal adoption will reflect enforcement by OCEAN rather than genuine consensus across the broader mining network.
