Solana Gets First Structured Product Tied to Strategy’s Preferred Stock

Solstice Finance has launched strcUSX, a Solana based structured product giving DeFi users exposure to the dividend income and price risk of Strategy's variable-rate preferred stock, STRC, without directly tokenizing the shares. Users deposit the platform's dollar-linked token into a vault and receive one of two Solana-based tokens tied to the economics of holding the Nasdaq-listed security.

Senior and Junior Tokens Offer Different Risk Profiles

The senior token is designed to receive income first, targeting an annual yield around 7%, while the junior token absorbs losses ahead of senior holders in exchange for a higher potential yield above 20% APY. This structure allows conservative investors to seek steadier returns while risk-tolerant users pursue greater upside, with junior holders bearing more exposure to price swings in the underlying preferred stock position.

Tied to Strategy’s Ongoing Bitcoin and Stock Activity

The launch comes as Strategy continues actively managing its capital structure, having recently sold bitcoin holdings partly to fund preferred stock repurchases. STRC currently pays a 12% annual dividend distributed twice monthly, though the rate remains subject to board approval. According to Solstice, this marks the first STRC linked financial product available on the Solana network, with users able to redeem after a seven-day unlock period or exit early for a fee.
