Strive has pushed its bitcoin treasury to a round 25,000 BTC, adding 469 coins last week in a purchase worth $36.6 million. The stash is now valued at close to $1.95 billion based on current market prices.

Purchase Price And Funding Source

The company picked up the coins at an average price just under $78,000 each, according to a regulatory filing made public on Monday. CEO Matt Cole said the entire amount raised that week came from sales of SATA, the firm’s perpetual preferred stock, which has now topped $1 billion in notional value outstanding.

Amplification Ratio Climbs

Strive also raised its “amplification ratio,” a measure of preferred equity and debt against bitcoin holdings, to 53.5%. That means for every $100 of bitcoin on its books, roughly $53.50 sits in preferred stock and debt obligations. The pace marks a pullback from the week before, when Strive bought 1,375 BTC for about $109 million.

Race For Second Place

Strive ranks fifth among public bitcoin holders, trailing Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet and MARA. To catch Twenty One’s 43,514 BTC, Strive would need roughly 1,234 BTC weekly over the remaining 15 weeks of the year. Cole has called that outcome possible but not his base case.

Shares of the company gained more than 4% Monday, touching a fresh yearly high near $29, as bitcoin hovered around $78,000 following last week’s price swings.
