Tether and Fasanara Capital have committed $400 million to a newly launched private credit fund called StableFund, which will channel capital through Fasanara’s fintech lending network spanning more than 60 countries. The two firms plan to raise up to an additional $3 billion from institutional investors as the fund scales.

Roles Split Between Investment and Infrastructure

Fasanara will serve as investment manager, focusing on short-duration, asset-backed credit strategies, while Tether will act as originator and advisor, sourcing financing opportunities tied to its USDT stablecoin. Tether will also provide the fund’s settlement infrastructure, including cross-border payment rails designed to move capital more efficiently than traditional banking systems.

Fund Aims to Embed Stablecoins in Real-World Lending

The structure is designed to integrate USDT directly into small business and consumer lending flows across fintech platforms globally.

Tether’s CEO said the initiative turns the company’s origination network into a direct channel for capital to reach underserved businesses and communities, while Fasanara’s chief executive highlighted improvements in how capital moves through real economy credit markets. London based Fasanara manages more than $6 billion in assets, with a portfolio spanning SME loans, consumer credit and trade finance.
