US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is reportedly the leading candidate to become President Donald Trump’s next AI czar, according to sources familiar with the matter, following Trump’s recent announcement of plans to establish an “AI Force.”

Alongside Bessent, other names being considered for the role include White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Michael Kratsios, Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor, and National Cyber Director Sean Cairncross.
