Trump Media, the company behind Truth Social, announced a new paid API that will give institutional investors faster access to posts from top accounts on the platform, including those from President Donald Trump. The service, called Truth API, is set to launch for institutional customers starting August 1, 2026.
Built for Speed and Market Reaction
The company said the offering is designed for high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms that need a real-time, machine-readable feed of posts capable of moving markets. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn said Truth Social posts already influence financial markets, pointing to recent posts related to the Iran-US conflict as an example. He added that the API supports the company’s broader plan to generate steady revenue by licensing its data directly.

Cracking Down on Unauthorized Scraping
McGurn also addressed firms that have tried to extract data from Truth Social without permission, calling it a violation of the platform’s terms of service. He said the company intends to make it difficult for such firms to continue accessing data without going through the official API. Other major voices on the platform include Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and FBI Director Kash Patel.
