Wildberries Warehouse Hit in Samara Region
Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed that a drone strike hit a Wildberries warehouse roughly 800 kilometers from Ukraine’s nearest military positions, sparking a fire that was later brought under control. No casualties were reported at that site. The facility is part of a broader campaign, with Ukrainian forces having targeted around a dozen Wildberries locations since mid-July in an effort to disrupt operations at the company, often compared to Amazon within Russia’s consumer economy.
Fatalities Reported in Saratov Region
A separate strike on a residential building in the city of Engels, located in the Saratov region, killed two people, according to Governor Roman Busargin. Civil infrastructure sustained damage in both Engels and the city of Saratov. Both locations have faced repeated Ukrainian attacks in recent years due to their strategic significance, hosting a major oil refinery and a military airbase respectively.
Drone Attack Also Reported in Bashkortostan
Further east, Bashkortostan Governor Radiy Khabirov said air defense units repelled a large drone attack targeting industrial facilities, with one drone shot down over an industrial zone in the regional capital of Ufa, where a resulting fire was being extinguished.
