US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Post Biggest Single-Day Outflow in a Week
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a combined net outflow of $225 million, marking the largest single day withdrawal since July 15. The pullback stands out against a relatively calm backdrop for Bitcoin itself, which held steady near $65,300 during Friday's Asian trading session despite a broader selloff that erased nearly $800 billion from major US technology stocks.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a combined net outflow of $225 million, marking the largest single day withdrawal since July 15. The pullback stands out against a relatively calm backdrop for Bitcoin itself, which held steady near $65,300 during Friday’s Asian trading session despite a broader selloff that erased nearly $800 billion from major US technology stocks.

BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for the bulk of the outflows, shedding $203 million on the day. Bitwise’s BITB followed with a smaller withdrawal of $7 million, rounding out the list of funds seeing reduced investor interest.

Fund Flows and Bitcoin Price Movement Remain Closely Linked
Market trackers note that ETF inflows and outflows tend to move in tandem with Bitcoin’s price trends, with periods of heavy withdrawals often coinciding with softer price action. The latest outflow comes as investors weigh broader market uncertainty, including the recent tech stock decline driven by rising concerns over AI infrastructure spending.
What This Means for Bitcoin Investors
While a single week of outflows does not necessarily signal a shift in long-term sentiment, the size of Friday’s withdrawal suggests some investors are taking a more cautious stance amid ongoing volatility across both crypto and equity markets.
