Stablecoin treasury platform Velocity has closed a $38 million Series A funding round to grow its infrastructure supporting enterprise use of stablecoins for cross-border settlement and treasury management.

Funding Details and Backers

The round was led by Dragonfly and FirstMark, with additional backing from Activant Capital, Capital One Ventures, QED Investors, Coinbase Ventures, Wintermute Ventures and Ripple. Velocity plans to use the funds to expand its banking and payments network, build new products and strengthen its regulatory capabilities. The company, founded in 2025, now has raised close to $50 million in total.

What Velocity Builds

Velocity’s software connects stablecoin networks with banking, custody, compliance and settlement systems, targeting enterprise finance teams, payment providers, fintechs and financial institutions handling cross border payments and treasury operations.

Part of a Broader Stablecoin Infrastructure Boom

The raise comes amid growing competition in enterprise stablecoin infrastructure. In June, more than 140 companies backed the launch of Open USD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin supported by Visa, Mastercard, Coinbase and Ripple.

Annualized real-world stablecoin payment volume by use case

Other recent funding rounds in the space include Ark Labs’ $5.2 million raise backed by Tether, OpenFX’s $94 million round for its stablecoin foreign exchange network, and Trace Finance’s $32 million raise for cross-border payment infrastructure. According to a McKinsey and Artemis Analytics analysis, stablecoins processed an estimated $390 billion in annualized real-world payments in 2025, including about $226 billion in business-to-business transactions.
