World Liberty Financial Brings USD1 Stablecoin to UFC Freedom 250 Fighter Bonuses

World Liberty Financial, the crypto venture backed by President Donald Trump and his family, is expanding the use of its USD1 stablecoin through a partnership with UFC Freedom 250. The company will serve as the presenting partner of the Performance of the Night awards and contribute $250,000 in USD1 to the fighter bonus pool.

According to World Liberty Financial CEO Zach Witkoff, the initiative is designed to allow athletes to receive rewards instantly through blockchain-based payments rather than waiting for traditional banking systems.

Record UFC Bonus Pool and Major Fight Card

UFC Freedom 250, taking place on the White House South Lawn, features a lightweight title unification fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. Former two-division champion Alex Pereira is also scheduled to face Ciryl Gane in a heavyweight bout.

The event will distribute a record $1.65 million in bonuses. Two Fight of the Night winners will receive $400,000 each, while two Performance of the Night winners will earn $425,000 each. The USD1-funded bonus is separate from a $1 million CRO token bonus pool.

USD1 Growth and Regulatory Attention

USD1 has grown to roughly $4.4 billion in circulating supply, ranking among the largest dollar-backed stablecoins. The partnership also comes as World Liberty Financial seeks federal approval for a national trust bank while facing ongoing scrutiny over the Trump family’s financial ties to the project.
