How it works

  1. 01

In crypto, a pip is the pair's minimum price step — its tick size (0.1 USDT on BTCUSDT). You can also count a $1 move or any custom step.

  2. 02

Pip value = quantity × pip size. A 0.01 BTC position earns or loses 0.001 USDT per 0.1 tick and 0.01 USDT per $1.

  3. 03

The move table shows what a 0.1% to 10% move does to your PnL and to your ROE on margin at the chosen leverage.

FAQ

What is a pip in crypto?

Crypto has no fixed pip like forex. The closest thing is the tick size — the smallest price step the exchange allows for that pair.

Does leverage change the pip value?

No. Pip value depends only on the position size. Leverage changes the margin, so it changes the ROE of each move.

Are fees included?

No — the values are before trading fees and funding.
