Chip Stocks Lead the Turnaround

The rally traces back to Asia, where MSCI’s Asia Pacific equities index rose 2%, its first gain in four sessions. Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor led the advance, while South Korean benchmarks climbed about 4%. Japan’s Nikkei rose 3.1% after briefly entering correction territory on Friday.

ETF Inflows and Oil Prices Add Support

US spot bitcoin ETFs have now recorded inflows for five consecutive sessions, totaling more than $600 million, reversing an eight week outflow streak that ran through late June.

Markets currently price roughly 15% odds of a July rate hike, while a September move remains possible. Trading volume across crypto markets has stayed relatively light even as prices rise, suggesting the move reflects returning risk appetite rather than strong new conviction.
