Bitcoin ETFs Draw Fresh Inflows, But Recovery Still Looks Small
US listed spot bitcoin ETFs have pulled in $273 million over the past two weeks, snapping an eight week stretch of outflows that drained more than $8 billion from these funds. While the shift has sparked talk of returning institutional demand, the numbers tell a more modest story.

US listed spot bitcoin ETFs have pulled in $273 million over the past two weeks, snapping an eight week stretch of outflows that drained more than $8 billion from these funds. While the shift has sparked talk of returning institutional demand, the numbers tell a more modest story.

Two Weeks Of Gains After Months Of Losses
Data from SoSoValue shows the funds added $75.67 million in the most recent week, following a stronger $197.40 million the week before. Bitcoin and macro newsletter Ecoinometrics pointed to this as a sign that ETF flows are settling into a healthier balance, suggesting the improvement may be more than a short bounce after heavy selling. Bitcoin’s price has also steadied between $64,000 and $65,000, well below its October peak above $126,000, fueling hope that a bottom is forming.

Why The Numbers Still Fall Short
The $273 million gained over two weeks barely exceeds $226.84 million, the smallest single week of outflows during the earlier eight week slump. That means it took two weeks of renewed buying just to offset the calmest week of selling. Analysis firm BRN noted that a longer, consistent run of positive flows would be needed to confirm institutional capital is genuinely returning in a structured way.
