Bitcoin Holds Gains After Brief $64K Run, Ignores Strategy Sale
Bitcoin traded around $63,070 today after briefly touching $64,400 overnight before pulling back, leaving the token roughly flat on the day but still up about 6% for the week. The move came even after Strategy disclosed selling 3,588 Bitcoin for $216 million, its largest sale since dropping its long-standing never-sell approach. The market largely absorbed the news without breaking its recovery.

Ether traded near $1,764, up 11.6% for the week, while XRP and Solana held most of their gains at $1.13 and $80. Most major tokens stayed steady Tuesday after leading last week’s rally.

Derivatives Data Suggests Bounce, Not Breakdown
Bitcoin fell to a 21-month low near $58,000 in late June before recovering into the low $60,000s. ARP Digital partner Yusuf Fakhro pointed to CME futures open interest at a 32-month low and options skew near record highs, patterns he said resemble past cycle bottoms rather than the start of deeper declines.
Oil Risk Returns After Hormuz Attack
Brent crude rose 0.6% to about $72.45 a barrel after a projectile struck a gas carrier near the Strait of Hormuz, testing the late-June peace deal. Asian tech stocks also fell sharply, with South Korea’s Kospi down 6.7% and Samsung and SK Hynix both sliding despite strong earnings.
