CNN, MS NOW and Politico File Lawsuit Over White House Access Ban

Three major news organizations are taking legal action against the Trump administration after being barred from White House grounds, according to a Reuters report.

MS NOW, CNN and Politico announced they are suing the administration to defend their First Amendment rights following President Donald Trump’s announcement that reporters from the three outlets would no longer be allowed on White House property. The organizations said they have notified the government of their plan to file the lawsuit in a federal court in Washington, D.C., with the possibility of emergency hearings taking place as early as this week.

Representatives for the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment made outside regular business hours.
