Ethena Labs is expanding its real world asset strategy with plans to allocate $250 million to a tokenized structured credit fund launched by Securitize on the Solana blockchain. The move reflects growing interest in combining traditional financial products with blockchain-based infrastructure.

Ethena Expands Real-World Asset Strategy

The investment will be directed into the Securitize Tokenized AAA CLO Fund (STAC), a fund focused on U.S. dollar denominated AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). The fund is managed in partnership with BNY, which acts as custodian of the underlying assets and provides investment support services.

As of June 2026, STAC manages approximately $102 million in assets from four investors. The fund currently offers exposure to high-quality floating-rate credit instruments sourced from both primary and secondary markets.

Solana Deployment Strengthens Onchain Finance

The launch of STAC on Solana brings institutional-grade credit products to one of the largest blockchain ecosystems. Global CLO issuance exceeds $1.3 trillion, making the sector one of the world’s biggest fixed-income markets.

Ethena Diversifies USDe Reserve Assets

Ethena said the allocation is part of a broader effort to diversify the backing of its synthetic dollar products, USDe and USDtb. Since early 2026, the company has increasingly incorporated real-world assets alongside crypto-native strategies to strengthen reserves and attract institutional capital.

Tokenized Credit Market Continues to Grow

The announcement highlights the growing role of tokenized financial assets in digital markets. Industry participants increasingly view regulated credit products and real-world assets as key components of the next phase of blockchain based finance.
