Bitcoin briefly fell to around $59,200, its lowest level since October 2024, and is now trading nearly 50% below its October 2025 peak above $126,000. However, D’Agostino said institutional buyers see lower prices as an opportunity rather than a warning sign. He noted that investors who were comfortable buying Bitcoin at $125,000 are even more interested at current levels near $65,000.

D’Agostino pointed to the resilience of Bitcoin exchange traded funds as evidence of continued institutional support. He said Bitcoin ETF exposure remains close to $100 billion despite the sharp decline in price. While Bitcoin has lost roughly half its value from the peak, retail participation has fallen by only about 15%.

Bitcoin Leverage Risks Appear Limited

He also dismissed concerns about forced liquidations among major Bitcoin holders. According to him, large institutional investors generally have access to additional capital and are not heavily overleveraged.

Meanwhile, Strategy recently purchased another 1,550 BTC worth approximately $101 million after reporting a small Bitcoin sale. D’Agostino also highlighted ongoing efforts to advance crypto legislation in Washington, saying growing regulatory engagement reflects the continued maturation of the digital asset industry.
