Stress Test Results

During testing, MegaETH processed up to 35,000 transactions per second (TPS), handling 10.7 billion transactions from Web3 applications like Smasher, Crossy Fluffle, and Stomp.gg. According to testers, the apps ran smoothly with zero latency or congestion, marking a milestone in blockchain performance. MegaETH’s co-founder Lei Yang called it the fastest EVM-compatible chain ever, with the team previously hitting 47,000 TPS in controlled tests.

Performance Compared to Other Chains

The stress test’s transaction volume surpassed Ethereum’s total transactions over its 10-year history, emphasizing MegaETH’s capacity to handle large-scale decentralized applications. For comparison, Solana’s real-world throughput is closer to 3,400 TPS, despite a theoretical maximum of 65,000 TPS. MegaETH aims for sub-millisecond latency and up to 100,000 TPS, positioning itself among the fastest blockchains in the crypto industry.

MegaETH faced technical issues during a pre-deposit token sale, initially raising $500 million but later returning funds due to system misconfigurations and KYC errors.

The upcoming launch, combined with record TPS performance, could make MegaETH a major player in high-speed Ethereum-compatible blockchains, attracting both developers and investors looking for scalable and efficient Web3 solutions.
