MetaMask Launches Agent Wallet for AI-Powered Crypto Transactions on Ethereum

MetaMask has unveiled Agent Wallet, a new non-custodial wallet designed specifically for artificial intelligence agents. The product will allow AI-powered systems to independently interact with blockchain networks while keeping users in control of their assets.

The wallet supports a range of activities across the Ethereum ecosystem, including token swaps, perpetual futures trading, prediction markets and liquidity provisioning. It will also work across multiple EVM-compatible networks and Hyperliquid.

Security Features Aim to Protect User Funds

A major focus of Agent Wallet is security. Every transaction must pass a mandatory simulation process and follow rules set by the user, such as daily spending limits and approved address lists.

The wallet also integrates with Blockaid, a security platform that scans transactions for potential scams and suspicious activity. If a transaction is considered risky, users receive additional verification requests through email or two-factor authentication before approval.

AI and Crypto Integration Continues to Expand

According to Consensys founder Joe Lubin, autonomous AI systems are expected to play a larger role in the digital economy. Agent Wallet is designed to support that shift while maintaining user oversight.

MetaMask said eligible transactions may also receive protection coverage of up to $10,000. The wallet is currently being tested through an early access program, with a broader rollout planned later this summer.
