OpenAI has begun showing Kalshi’s prediction market odds for FIFA World Cup matches directly within ChatGPT search results, according to a report by The New York Times, marking the company’s first known tie-up with a prediction market platform.
How the Integration Works
When users search for World Cup matchups, ChatGPT now displays graphics showing each team’s implied win probability based on Kalshi’s markets. In one example cited by the report, a search for England versus Argentina showed a 55% edge for England. The feature does not let users place bets, with the data meant purely for informational use. Neither company has publicly confirmed the deal, and Kalshi declined to comment.

Prediction Markets Gain Ground on Big Platforms
Kalshi, a regulated platform for trading contracts on real-world events, recorded more than $33 billion in monthly notional volume in June 2026, about $22 billion ahead of rival Polymarket, according to Dune Analytics. Kalshi had already partnered with CNN and CNBC in December 2025 to bring its odds into news coverage. Polymarket struck a similar deal with Dow Jones in January 2026, while Google folded prediction market data from both platforms into Google Finance and Search back in November 2025.
