Pudgy Penguins Expands Nationwide as Target Adds Vibes Series 3 Trading Cards

Pudgy Penguins is continuing its push into mainstream retail with the nationwide launch of its Vibes Series 3 trading cards at Target stores across the United States. The rollout represents the largest retail expansion yet for the trading card game and highlights the project’s efforts to grow beyond its origins in the NFT market.

The latest release was developed with Orange Cap Games and increases the total number of cards in circulation to 15 million. Vibes Series 3 introduces new gameplay features, fresh artwork and appearances from characters associated with the Moonbirds collection.

NFT Brand Expands Into Consumer Products

Pudgy Penguins has spent the past several years building a broader entertainment and consumer products business around its Ethereum-based NFT collection. The collection remains among the largest NFT projects by market capitalization.

Toys, Licensing and Gaming Drive Growth

The brand’s toy line entered more than 2,000 Walmart stores in 2023. Chief Executive Officer Luca Netz said in 2024 that over one million toys had been sold during the previous 12 months.

The company has expanded into gaming as well, launching Pengu Clash in 2025 and the mobile title Pudgy Party, which surpassed one million downloads. Development of Pudgy Party has since ended as the project shifts its focus toward expanding its browser-based experience, Pudgy World.
