MiCA-Compliant Token Backed by Reserves

EURR is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a Luxembourg-based entity of Stripe-owned stablecoin infrastructure firm Bridge, and is designed to maintain a stable one-to-one value with the euro. The token is fully backed by reserves managed in compliance with the European Union’s MiCA regulations. It will launch initially on Ethereum, with support for additional blockchains and external wallet transfers expanding as liquidity grows.

Part of a Broader Stablecoin Strategy

The launch comes as Revolut phases out Tether’s USDT from the EEA and Switzerland, with remaining balances set to convert into customers’ local currencies after August 31. Revolut said EURR marks the first step in a wider stablecoin strategy, with additional currency-denominated tokens currently in development through separate regulatory approval processes.
