Trump’s Crypto Earnings Flow Into Stocks and Bonds, Disclosures Reveal
President Donald Trump's latest financial disclosures show that a large share of his crypto earnings ended up in more conventional investments last year. According to filings submitted to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, Trump earned more than $1.4 billion in 2025 from his family's crypto ventures, including World Liberty Financial and his personal meme coin. Despite this, records show his stock and bond holdings grew at least fourfold over the same period, rising to between $703 million and $2.6 billion by the end of 2025, up from $225 million to $608 million a year earlier.

Experts Say Filings Reveal Cautious Approach to Crypto
Financial analysts who reviewed the disclosures say the pattern suggests Trump does not treat crypto as a long term wealth strategy for himself, even as he publicly promotes it. Harvard’s Digital Assets Policy Project director, Timothy Massad, noted that the numbers point to a personal approach centered on short-term crypto gains followed by reinvestment in safer, traditional markets.
Trump Organization Defends Financial Position
A spokesperson for the Trump Organization said the disclosures reflect a strong financial standing built on valuable assets and a conservative balance sheet. The White House added that the president’s investments are managed through independent, discretionary accounts.
Family Members Continue Promoting Digital Assets
Trump’s sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., have remained vocal supporters of crypto investment, with Eric Trump repeatedly predicting major long-term price gains for bitcoin. Meanwhile, retail investors in Trump-linked crypto projects have reportedly lost billions since these ventures launched.
