US-Iran Peace Deal Signing Ceremony Planned in Switzerland

US-Iran peace agreement is set to take place on Friday at the Burgenstock resort in central Switzerland. The Swiss foreign ministry confirmed the meeting and said the location was proposed by Pakistani and Qatari mediators, along with representatives from the United States and Iran.

Switzerland Provides Support for Talks

Swiss officials said the country is acting as a facilitator by creating the practical and diplomatic conditions needed for the ceremony. The Burgenstock resort previously hosted an international conference on Ukraine two years ago.

Oil Sales and Sanctions Relief Included in Discussions

The full text of the agreement had not been released as of Tuesday. However, reports said the US will allow Iran to immediately resume oil and fuel sales, giving Tehran an early financial incentive to reduce tensions.

Future Benefits Depend on Iranian Commitments

A senior US official said long-term sanctions relief will depend on Iran’s performance on US demands, including matters related to the Strait of Hormuz and its nuclear program. The agreement does not provide Iran with immediate access to billions of dollars in frozen funds.
