Netanyahu Says Trump and Israel Share Goal of Preventing Iran Nuclear Weapons

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed that Iran must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, stressing that he and U.S. President Donald Trump are in full agreement on the issue. His comments come as discussions continue around a possible agreement between Washington and Tehran.

Israel Maintains Firm Position on Iran Nuclear Program

In a statement, Netanyahu said there is “complete agreement” between him and Trump regarding the need to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. He pledged that as long as he remains Israel’s prime minister, Iran will not acquire a nuclear bomb.

Netanyahu also highlighted his long-standing opposition to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, saying he has led international efforts against the program for more than three decades.
