Iran Claims Missile Strike on Amazon Data Center in Bahrain
IRGC has claimed responsibility for a missile strike targeting infrastructure belonging to an Amazon data center in Bahrain, according to a statement from the group.

IRGC has claimed responsibility for a missile strike targeting infrastructure belonging to an Amazon data center in Bahrain, according to a statement from the group.
IRGC Says Strike Was Retaliation
The IRGC said the attack was carried out in response to recent US airstrikes on the Darkhovin Nuclear Power Plant, which it described as a non military facility still under construction in Iran. The group said the Amazon data center infrastructure in Bahrain was targeted and destroyed using several cruise missiles. The claim has not been independently verified, and neither Bahraini authorities nor Amazon had commented on the reported strike as of publication.
Escalating Tensions Between Washington and Tehran
The reported strike comes amid a sharp escalation in hostilities between the United States and Iran. Tensions rose on July 8 after the US carried out a series of strikes on Iranian territory, which Washington said were a response to an attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
Since the ceasefire collapsed, Iran has launched a series of missile and drone attacks aimed at US military facilities and strategic infrastructure across the Gulf region, including sites in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman.
