Trump Links Abraham Accords to Possible Iran Peace Deal
US President Donald Trump has linked any future agreement with Iran to a broader diplomatic push aimed at expanding the Abraham Accords, asking several Muslim-majority countries to normalize relations with Israel as part of a larger regional arrangement.

Trump Pushes Abraham Accords During Iran Talks
Trump said he spoke with leaders from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt and Jordan, alongside the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, which already joined the Abraham Accords in 2020.
In a public statement, Trump said countries should immediately join the agreement, adding that if Iran signs a deal with the United States, it could become part of what he described as a wider regional coalition.
However, Pakistan quickly rejected the idea, saying relations with Israel and talks with Iran are separate issues and should not be connected. Officials stressed that Pakistan faces no obligation to follow such a request.
Gaza Conflict Remains Major Obstacle
Several countries remain cautious because of the ongoing Gaza war. Saudi Arabia has repeatedly said recognition of Israel depends on a clear roadmap toward Palestinian statehood.
Egypt and Jordan already maintain diplomatic ties with Israel, while Turkey’s relations have become strained since the Gaza conflict escalated.
Trump said negotiations with Iran were progressing positively but offered no timeline for a final agreement. Analysts noted that expanding the Abraham Accords during sensitive Iran talks could face political resistance across the region.
